The company of Drakelord Corvus Gal’bard avoided the butchery of Isstvan V being stationed too far away, and too entrenched on their present assignment, to rendezvous with the Legion’s fleet. Rather than seeing this as a supreme piece of luck, Gal’bard instead wears it as a great shame despite knowing his presence would have made little difference to the outcome at the dropsite.
Having missed the fighting at Isstvan V, Gal’bard and his company are desperate to make amends and fight alongside their Emperor during the inevitable final battle for Terra.

Drakelord Corvus Gal’bard – Praetor of the 456th Company
The Drakelord Corvus Gal’bard, named in honour of the Raven Guard Primarch, is a Praetor in the XVIIIth Legion. He is a master of siege and his 456th Company specialise in linebreaking.
He marches to war relentlessly, clad in Catapractii Termnator Armour, and the hide of a Fuzz-Drake. His favoured weapon is a Master-Crafted Paragon Axe, named ‘The Head-Harvester’, although this name has in time been attributed to himself. His grenade harness and combi-plasma help him when he leads the charge.

Gal’bard is supported by various Centurions and Officers.
Captain Tarik is the Master of the Rearguard, keeping watch over the artillery and heavy support elements of the 456th Siege Company.
N’gred is the Primus Medicae for the 456th.
Even in its depleted state, the 456th are still well equipped with tanks and artillery, and Var’lek acts as the company’s permanently attached Forge Lord.
